Natural Colon Cleansing

Natural colon cleansing is the simple process of flushing out the toxins that have been gathering in your colon over time, and doing so without the use of any materials manufactured by industry.

The colon works to eliminate solid waste from the body, and to extract any nutrients from food that have somehow not been extracted earlier in the digestive process. When it performs these functions well you feel healthy and energized.

However, when too many wastes build up in the colon, these toxic materials begin to rot and begin to impede the colon’s work.

And when you flush these materials away with some kind of natural agent, you may lose weight and see bodily bloating reduced; plus, your skin will clear up and you will experience fewer and less intense headaches, and best of all you’ll have more energy.

Natural colon cleansing usually involves taking an herbal supplement or going on a diet or, frequently, some combination of the two.  If you take an herbal pill, or drink an herbal tea, specially combined herbs will enter your body and work their way down to your colon.

Once there, the enzymes will begin to kill any parasitic microbes, and will reduce or eliminate the toxic materials that have been collecting.  Once these materials have been flushed out of the body, the colon’s functioning will be immediately improved.  To keep the colon in good working order, it is important to maintain a diet high in fiber, and rich in fruits and vegetables and essential vitamins.

Keep in mind that if you want to clean out your entire body, including your liver and kidneys and other organs, it’s important to clean out your colon and your bowels first.  Also, make sure you have detailed medical instructions before attempting to undergo a natural colon cleansing at home.

While a natural colon cleansing is almost always safe when done correctly, keep in mind that if your perform the procedure incorrectly serious complications can arise, including dehydration and, in extreme cases, organ failure.  And even when done correctly there can be side effects with natural colon cleansing, including headaches and nausea.

Colon Cleansing Reviews

If you are in the market for a colon cleansing product, be it a pill or an enema or a tea or a smoothie, or even if you’re thinking about undergoing a colon cleansing but you don’t know what method to choose, you will probably want to turn at some point to colon cleansing reviews.

There are numerous sites on the Internet, as well as articles in healthy living magazines and other periodicals, which will lay out all the information you need to know about a colon cleansing product: its price, its effectiveness, its potential hazards.

Some of the companies who make such items are prone to stretching the truth—if not making out and out outrageous claims—about what their products can accomplish, and therefore reviews perform the crucial service of telling the truth and simplifying the information to allow you to make the best possible choice.

There are certain elements you should look for in all colon cleansing reviews.  First, the people writing the colon cleansing reviews should obviously not be affiliated with any company manufacturing these items (and on the Internet that distinction can sometimes be blurry, so only turn to reputable sites).

The colon cleansing reviews should describe in detail how a product needs to be taken and what effects on your body the procedure will have.  It should list the potential benefits as well as the possible dangers and drawbacks of each method of colon cleansing, and just about every method has at least one major drawback that you’ll need to weigh carefully.

Quotes and descriptions from customers who’ve used a given product can also greatly aid your decision, as well as photographs.  You should be able to discern from the review if you are not eligible to use a certain cleansing product because of any medical conditions or allergies you may have, or any prescription medications you may be taking.

In short, it probably isn’t a good idea to use any cleansing material until you have read at least a few, if not several, in-depth colon cleansing reviews.

Colon Cleansing Diet

A colon cleansing diet is really something everyone should consider, no matter a person’s age or background.

In eating foods that do not harm your colon but instead aid it in performing its natural functions, you will avoid constipation, dehydration, pain, cramps, bloating and all sorts of other problems back there.

Best of all, such a diet can become a centerpiece of a healthy and happy lifestyle.

And no matter what your eating habits have been like in the past, it’s thankfully never too late to begin a diet like this and enjoy at least some benefits, not least of which is a renewed sense of energy and vitality. Here’s what a day on a colon cleansing diet might look like.

When you wake up in the morning, you can forgo the bacon and eggs—after a week or so you won’t even miss them—and elect instead to eat a nice bowl of oatmeal or high-fiber cereal.

Don’t worry if this sounds tasteless; you can add to the bowl your favorite fruits and berries.  (And if you have very little time in the morning, try slicing up apples or other fruits the night before and store these slices in a bowl in the refrigerator.)  You can eat as much fruit as you want during the day, by the way, and thus on a colon cleansing diet you’ll never be hungry again!

When it’s time for lunch and dinner, a colon cleansing diet dictates that you should avoid having starches and meats together at the same meal, as these food groups need different fluids in order to be digested, and therefore it’s difficult to completely digest them when they’re eaten together.

So instead, try to have one meal full of carbohydrates—pasta and bread, perhaps—and one meal with meat and veggies, and no breads or potatoes.

That might sound strange, but your colon will be good to you if you do this.  And always remember your colon cleansing diet hinges on three key words: water, water, water.  Drink as much of it as you can during the day.

Liver Cleansing

As goes our liver, so goes the rest of our health.  After all, the liver is such an important part of our bodies’ digestive and circulatory systems.

Consider: the liver changes glucose into glycogen.  It removes all kinds of harmful materials from our blood.

Perhaps most importantly, it takes in fats and converts them into vital energy.  And so we need to be aware of the condition of our livers.  Because toxic agents collect inside this organ, it’s a great idea to undergo a liver cleansing every once in a while.

One means of liver cleansing is a special diet.  Liver detoxification diets are low in fat and include a minimum amount of caffeine, sugar (not to mention artificial sweeteners) and alcohol.  However, even a diet adhering to such a standard can’t guarantee a liver in top condition.

There are many more toxic agents found in our environments which we take into our bodies every day and which can build up in our livers.

Among these pollutants are smog, automobile exhaust, pesticides and industrial chemicals (many of which can be found in our public drinking water supplies).  And that’s a highly abbreviated list!  Therefore, in order to truly enjoy a clean and healthy liver, and not be plagued by nausea and headaches and all kinds of other afflictions, we really need to clear out this organ with a special liver cleansing agent, usually one containing a specially prepared mixture of herbs.

You could receive an enema, for instance, although some people find that procedure to be unpleasant and embarrassing, whether it’s performed in a practitioner’s office or in one’s own home.  You could also drink a special herbal tea or smoothie, or ingest an herbal spray, or take an herbal pill, all of which have ingredients that will enter your liver, flush the place out, and, hopefully, repopulate the organ with healthy bacteria that will catalyze your liver’s natural functions.

Whatever method of liver cleansing you choose, though, be aware that you need to drink plenty of fluids throughout the entire liver cleansing experience so as not to become dehydrated.

Colon Cleaning

Colon cleaning, also known as colon cleansing or, more formally, colonic irrigation, is a process that flushes out the toxins from your colon.

Doing so allows the widespread growth of healthy and helpful bacteria in your intestines and colon, which allows for faster and smoother digestion and a better overall quality of life.

After all, the toxins that build up in your colon can lead to many different kinds of problems, everything from pain and constipation to such ailments as asthma and arthritis, problems which many people might never associate with the colon.

You’ll also have more energy and you’ll be able to fight off germs and viruses more effectively as well.Colon cleaning is generally accomplished through enemas, or some combination of pills and a special diet for a certain number of hours.

Colon cleaning is of course a prerequisite for a person who’s about to undergo a colonoscopy; the results of this test would be skewed without a cleaning out of the system.

However, some doctors worry about patients who undergo colon cleaning as they fear if it is done incorrectly it could lead to dehydration, or heart or liver failure in people who already have heart or liver disease and whose colon cleaning is too extreme.

However, it is very rare for a healthy person who drinks plenty of water all throughout the period of colon cleaning to develop any sort of health problem.

In fact, many colon cleaning advocates would argue that the benefits, and the overall feeling of refreshment subsequent to the cleaning, far outweigh any remote potential hazards.

At the same time, be aware that cleaning your colon will not get rid of any disease you might already have, and there is no clear scientific evidence that the procedure helps ward off any major diseases like cancer.

If you are going to a practitioner’s office to have this procedure performed, be sure that she or he is licensed and that this person uses only disposable equipment.  You don’t want someone else’s tube inserted into your body.
